Begumpuri Masjid


Built in the 14th century during the Tughlaq period, the Begumpuri Masjid in Delhi is said to be patterned on an Iranian design planned by the Iranian architect Zahir al-Din al-Jayush. It has three gates. The central pishtaq seen in the picture resides on the west wall
